Through an experiment in the field of consciousness called "Human Brain Puzzle", the protagonist "I", who was the subject of the experiment, has since been split into two, with one existing in the complex and chaotic reality "Edge of the World" and the other in the bizarre and absurd illusion "Black and White World". One exists in the complex and chaotic reality of the "edge of the world", while the other exists in the bizarre and absurd illusion of the "black and white world". This divides the book into two main lines.
